Medical DirectorYour Medical Director, Dan L. Curtis, MD. Dr. Curtis, has served as Nevada Radiation Oncology Center-West’s (NROC-West) Board-certified Radiation Oncologist since 1990. Prior to his radiation oncology training, he spent three years as Internal Medicine Attending Physician in Las Vegas, including a volunteer faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at University Medical Center Hospital. Dr. Curtis belongs to the American Medical Association, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American College of Radiology, Southern Nevada Cancer Research Foundation, Investigator Simon Kramer Society, Clark County Medical Society, and Nevada State Medical Association.
Physicist and DosimetristThe Board-certified Physicist and/or Board-certified Dosimetrist will assist the Medical Director during treatment calculation procedures. Their job is to assure that your treatment area receives the correct amount of radiation with minimal impact on nearby healthy tissue. The Physicist and/or Dosimetrist will also work with the Medical Director when administering Transperineal Prostate Seed Implants.
Radiation TherapistsDuring your treatment, you will meet several Radiation Therapists who will administer the radiation to your treatment area from the Center's linear accelerator. All of our therapists are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Other PersonnelIn addition, the NROC-West family includes a Front Office Manager, receptionist and medical assistant who contribute greatly toward your well being while you are here.
